The Ohio Bobcats and the Central Michigan Chippewas will fight each other on Thursday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium and the betting game will be televised on ESPNU. Ohio took back control of the MAC East with its upset of Temple last Wednesday – improving its weekday log to 7-1 ATS in the process – and both our BSN Sports database and BSN Sports analysis feel the Bobcats will keep their claws on the division for at least another week. Head coach Frank Solich is a sterling 6-1 ATS away with revenge (2009 MAC title game) versus .333 or less opposition and his Bobbies own a 156-yard stat advantage over Central Michigan against the three common foes they’ve faced this betting season. And while the Chippewas are 5-1 ATS in their next-to-last home game of the season, we’re not about to trust a worn-down defense (No. 86) that is playing its 11th straight game without a break. Before last season – thanks to QB Dan LeFevour – it had been five years since CMU spent the holidays at home. But with the graduation of their four-year starter in 2009, the Chips are down for a second straight campaign and there’s no reason to believe they’ll cash in tonight. Make like Nike and ‘Just Do It’ as Solich gets his much-awaited revenge. Ohio is the favorite - 7 point against Central Michigan.
