And while it’s not the SEC, at least it’s not the MAC or the Sun Belt. In fact, six of the eight teams in the MWC boast a winning record thanks to a 19-16 nonconference mark. Not bad for a league that rents space to UNLV and New Mexico. Tonight’s combatants enter with similar resumes (3-2 overall / 0-1 in league play, each losing to TCU) and this likely battle for third-place honors looks to keep us squarely on the sidelines. Regular-season weekday road games have ruined the Aztecs (0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS) and we’re really not eager to back a single-digit road dog that is 1-3 ‘In The Stats’ versus lined opposition this season. And while the Force is 3-1 SU and ATS in non-Saturday battles of late, the concern is AFA’s 6-12 SU and 3-13 ATS record off a SU loss of 20 or more points, including 1-9 ATS when not getting 5 or more points. While we do expect the Falcons to make amends for last year’s 27-25 loss in San Diego as 1-point road favorites, we don’t see the need to lay this big a number with a team that is off to a 1-2 SU and ATS start versus FBS opposition. It’s your call. Currently the Falcons are listed as 7-point favorites against the Aztecs, while the game's total is sitting at 57. San Diego State most recently: Air Force most recently:
