You’re probably not going to like this. Last betting season the Golden Hurricane was de-gilded and de-pressurized by the Stillwater Pokes in a merciless 65-28 beating which saw OSU roll to an obscene 722 offensive yards. And with the Cowboys off and running again – 1260 yards in TWO games – the prospect of bucking Okie State’s 5-1 ATS record as road chalk of 6 or more points may not fill you with confidence. Currently the Cowboys are listed as 14-point favorites against the Golden Hurricane, while the game's total is sitting at 68½. Okay, try some of this. Today’s game is being played at Skelly Field where the Golden Hurricane has covered six of the last series meetings with OSU. Tulsa is also 3-0 ATS at home off back-to-back roadies and 8-2 ATS in their last ten games when wearing the dog collar. And for all their offensive firepower, the Cowboys do not field a strong stop unit, getting ripped for 439 yard by Arizona. Wildcats QB Nick Foles went 37-of-51 in that game for 398 passing yards, so rest assured that Tulsa’s equally talented G.J. Kinne will get his share of yardage here. Hurricane wideout Damaris Johnson, a game-changing receiver and kick returner, is still suspended indefinitely and won’t see action. Since they killed these guys in 2010, we can almost excuse the Cowboys for looking ahead to a much bigger battle with Top 10-ranked Big 12 foe Texas A&M next Saturday. Okie State slips to 3-8 ATS in the betting season’s third game. Betting Trends:
