A pair of 2-0 teams meet this afternoon in Bowling Green. Yep, you read it right. Now before we get too crazy, we should mention that both of Wyoming’s wins have come against Divison 1-AA competition (Weber State, Texas State) while the Bee Gees have sung their praises against Idaho and Morgan State. The win at Idaho did come as a 6-point dog so it appears that the Falcons could be back in flight after last betting season’s disappointing two-win effort. From a handicapping standpoint, the Falcons are a profi table 4-2 SU ant ATS at home versus non-conference opposition while the Cowboys are just 3-16 SU and 7-11 ATS in road openers since 1992. However, Wyoming HC Dave Christensen is 9-2 ATS as road dog in his two-plus seasons on the Laramie sidelines. And while we must respect that number, that role may take a hit this afternoon with a look-ahead home encounter against Nebraska on deck. Let’s also not forget that Bowling Green handled the Cowboys, 45-16, in Wyoming three seasons ago as three-point roadfavorites so this number appears in line today at Doyt Perry Stadium. We say lay it as the Bee Gees’ unbeaten season looks to be Stayin’ Alive. Oddsmakers currently have the Falcons listed as 8-point favorites versus the Cowboys, while the game's total is sitting at 50. More betting stats:
