Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights highlights October in Orlando but we have a sneaky suspicion the neighboring Bulls from Tampa may put a scare of their own into the Pittsburgh faithful a few days early as Week Five of the NCAA betting season kicks off tonight in the Steel City. Pitt’s 2-7 ATS mark after battling Notre Dame, along with an eerie 0-4-1 ATS weekday log, certainly frightens us. And until HC Todd Graham proves he can handle BCS opposition (1-8 SU and ATS), we’ll continue to fade him in these undesirable spots. And while we would have loved to get Lou Holtz’s pup, Skip, as a dog tonight (28-10-1 ATS taking points), the Vegas boys wisely would have none of it. Even so, we have no problem laying this small number and running with a Bulls squad that is coming off a three-game home stand where they averaged 53 points and 610 yards per betting game. Look for Skippy’s bovines to improve to a smooth 5-1 ATS in Game Five roadies as the Panthers prove to be nothing more than scaredy-cats tonight. This game will be televised on ESPN. The current betting line is South Florida -2½ and the total is set at 52. Betting trends to consider:
