College Football BettingBowl season has already been kind to us in the form of exciting online betting matchups and outcomes, and some of the best are still to come. That includes both the BBVA Compass Bowl and the Bowl, which both go Saturday with some intriguing matchups that are worth tuning in to.

BBVA Compass Bowl
Pittsburgh Panthers vs. Ole Miss Rebels (-3)
Saturday, 1:00 PM ET

The Panthers have made the Compass Bowl their go-to postseason home, with this their third-straight trip to Birmingham, Alabama. The difference this time around is that for the first time in the three-straight years they have qualified for this game, Pittsburgh will actually have the same coach on the sidelines that has led them all season, with Paul Chryst set to stay on through next season.

The Panthers also have a 3,000-yard passer and 1,000-yard rusher in the same season for the first time in school history, with big things expected of both Tino Sunseri and Ray Graham in this game. Meanwhile, Ole Miss hasn’t been to any bowl since 2009 but enter this contest with eight wins in their past nine bowl games overall. Quarterback Bo Wallace and running back Jeff Scott helped the Rebels average just over 30 points per game in the ultra-tough SEC this season, and while their record against the conference wasn’t very good, they did take care of business against outside opponents. The SEC has done well against other conferences so far this Bowl season, and it makes sense that Ole Miss will keep that 5Dimes trend going.

College Football Betting Pick: Ole Miss Rebels - 3 Bowl
(25) Kent State Golden Flashes vs. Arkansas State Red Wolves (-4)
Saturday, 9:00 PM ET

After coming within one score of delivering with a MAC Championship, Kent State will go back to the drawing board ahead of the Bowl hoping they can at least salvage some hardware for the football betting season. The Golden Flashes had won 11 of 12 games to reach the conference title game, but a double-overtime loss to Northern Illinois halted that momentum and changed the perspective of their season overall. Kent State can still rally and prove that it deserved a shot at a BCS Bowl by taking down an Arkansas State team that played Northern Illinois in last year’s Bowl game. The Red Wolves followed up a 2-3 start to the sports betting season with seven-straight wins to take the Sun Belt Conference championship, and while they could very well win this game as the favorites, the Golden Flashes will at the very least be able to keep this contest close in their first Bowl game in 40 seasons. This date will mark a very important time for the Kent State program, especially coming off a year in which they were nationally ranked.
