Don’t look now but this afternoon’s winner is just a conference title win away from New Orleans and a date in the BCS National Title Game. Arkansas’ run-it-up rout of Mississippi State has them comfortably ahead of the rest of the 1-loss teams in the BCS Poll and a win on the road against LSU would put Georgia on the minds of Boss Hog and company. Let’s not get that far ahead of ourselves – not with the unbeaten Bayou Bengals providing today’s opposition and ‘Miles’ ahead in every poll. The Razorbacks do get a break with this game being played in daylight as the Tigers are 50-4 SU at night under Les Miles and only 23-13 when catching a tan. And while the SU outcome will most likely come down to turnovers (LSU is 34-4 SU, including 18-0 SU last 18, when they win the turnover battle under Miles), the ATS result will not. Yes, the Tigers currently lead the nation with a +17 net in takeaways but they are just 1-7 ATS as favorites with conference revenge and a carefree 0-7 ATS in Last Home Games. And with Miles just 3-17-2 ATS at home in conference play off a SU win with LSU, that carefree better turn to careful, especially when battling Bobby Petrino 6-1 ATS as a dog off an ATS win versus 1.000 opposition. And what has to make the Hatter ‘Mad’ is Arky’s 3-1 SU and 4-0 ATS mark in this series since 2007 (2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS since the arrival of Petrino). While we’d love to call for the outright upset, we’ll just say ‘See Ya Later’ to the winner of this one – as in January 9th in the Superdome and ‘Hello’ to the green stuff. The Tigers by a whisker. LSU is favorite as 14-points against the Razorbacks, and the game's total is sitting at 52. Arkansas Razorbacks vs. LSU Tigers stats: Arkansas is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
