Michigan State Spartans vs. Wisconsin Badgers Point Spread The Michigan State Spartans and the Wisconsin Badgers face each other on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in the Big Ten Championship Game. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

With the exception of Georgia vs. LSU, this is the game we’re looking forward to seeing the most, a matchup of two premier defenses as Sparty ranks No. 3 and the Badgers No. 7.

These guys slugged it out for 59 minutes and change at East Lansing on October 22nd before a Kirk Cousins ‘Hail Mary’ bomb on the last play of the game ruined Wisconsin’s perfect season, 37-31.

Wisky held the edge in most of that contest’s stats but a pair of turnovers and six penalties put them in a 14-point hole with just under 11 minutes remaining.

Though the gap was quickly closed by the outstanding play of QB Russell Wilson, it was opposing signal caller Cousins who made the game’s biggest throw.

The rematch will pit strength against strength: the Badgers’ punishing ground attack that averages 247 yards per game and 5.6 yards per carry versus a stalwart Spartan rush ‘D’ that grudgingly allows just 103 yards and 2.9 YPC each outing.

That puts the onus on the quarterbacks – and on a neutral fi eld where weather will not be a factor, Wilson is clearly the choice. No, we can’t call for a Michigan State upset, not when coach Dantonio is a wallet-emptying 0-19 SU and 6-12-1 ATS as a dog of 8 or more points.

And certainly not when opposing coach Bielema is a solid 10-5 SU and ATS when fueled by revenge – including 8-2 SU and ATS off a SU win.

But even though Wisconsin is a BSN Sports call here, the Badgers would have to reverse the margin of their fi rst meeting with the Spartans by at least 15 points to insure ATS success.

Sorry, we’re not keen on laying doubles to a foe with the better defense, especially when the series dog has cashed in fi ve of the last six get-togethers.

Perhaps our best move is to pull an ‘El Paso’ for now… so if you’re strongly motivated, make like Elvis and follow that dream.

Vegas Sportsbooks currently have Wisconsin listed as 10-point favorites against the Spartans, and the game's total is sitting at 54½.
