College Football Betting: West Virginia Mountaineers vs. South Florida Bulls

West Virginia Mountaineers vs. South Florida Bulls LinesThe West Virginia Mountaineers face South Florida Bulls on Thursday at Raymond James Stadium in a betting game televised on ESPN.

The final week of the College Football betting regular season (although Army/Navy has a week of its own) kicks off in Tampa with questions still to be answered – and many concerning the Big East.

Unless Oklahoma State could convince every single voter (and we don’t think they will after seeing our writeup) to put them ahead of the Tide in next week’s Coaches and Harris Polls, it looks as if the BCS Championship Game is a rematch of LSU and Alabama as the Tigers are in… win or lose.

However, there are automatic conference bids as well as at-large bids still to be decided and it begins tonight as the Hillbillies are looking to hit the BCS scene for the fi rst time in four years.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish against Stanford Cardinal Betting

Notre Dame Fighting Irish against Stanford Cardinal PreviewNotre Dame Fighting Irish will face Stanford Cardinal on Saturday at Stanford Stadium.

It sure went south in a hurry at the Farm. Just one loss, a 53-30 mugging by Oregon – coupled with a struggle against Cal last week – and the 10-1 Cardinal have somehow slid clear down to No. 9 in the new BCS rankings (QB Andrew Luck’s Heisman campaign is losing steam, too).

You’d expect them to be primed here against a Notre Dame team they whipped 37-14 at South Bend last year, right? The problem with backing Stanford, though, is this: Oregon kicks off its game with Oregon State over four hours earlier and since a Ducks’ win gives them the Pac-12 North trophy, the Cardinal could be very up – or very down – depending on the result from Eugene.

The Irish need no extra incentive after having been dissected by Luck and company last year, and it doesn’t hurt that the Dame stands 3-1 ATS overall and 5-1 ATS on the road in this intriguing series.

College Football Week 13 Odds: Penn State vs. Wisconsin

Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Wisconsin Badgers PredictionsThe Penn State Nittany Lions and the Wisconsin Badgers have a meeting on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.

We didn’t think last week that Illinois could keep up with Wisconsin’s potent offense and were only burned by a slow start.

After falling behind 17-7 at the half, Wisky waltzed through the Illini defense, winning the second half 21-0 and closing out the game with a sevenminute drive that ended with the Badgers on the Illini ten-yard line in 28-17 win-no cover.

Well, that game was on the road and this one is at home so expect no slow starts this afternoon in Madison. So the question becomes, once again, how does the Lions’ popgun attack keep pace with the Badgers’ battering assault?

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Free Betting Pick

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Free PicksThe Georgia Bulldogs and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will face each other on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

There are a handful of teams that hope the Bulldogs can play spoiler in next week’s SEC championship game.

However, if Marc Richt’s club wants to continue their climb up the BCS ladder, they best not get caught looking past in-state rival Georgia Tech in this non-conference roadie. In a stat that can only be found only in the BSN Sports articles: teams in nonconference affairs in the last game of the betting season that are headed to a conference championship game are a bit-too-relaxed 1-7 SU and ATS when coming off a conference game. And that’s understandable.

You see, a loss this week and win next week still puts Georgia in a BCS Bowl game as the SEC champ, whereas a win this week and loss next week would have the three-loss ‘Dawgs accepting a less than desirable bowl bid.
