March Madness Betting – East region is bracket to watch this March

March Madness BettingLooking over this year’s March Madness odds will take up a lot of time this year if you want to do well, and if you’re looking for a tough bracket, it’s the East region. This game to get into the Final Four will take place at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, home of one of the top seeds in the big dance. It’ll be a tough road, but another No.1 seed should come out on top.

Kentucky was always going to be the top seed wherever they were, and they are arguably the most exciting team in the country, capable of rattling off a 20-0 run at any time. This freshman-heavy team is led by John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe, but the key may be Patrick Patterson, the junior who has stepped back to let his younger teammates take the spotlight. However, they’re going to face a tough out in the second round when they’ll face either No.8 Texas or No.9 Wake Forest, two of the country’s biggest disappointments. The Longhorns were the No.1 team in the country before a brutal second-half slide caused by inexperience in the backcourt, while the Demon Deacons have a possible lottery pick in sophomore forward Al-Faroud Aminu. There’s definitely the possibility of this year’s 5-12 upset coming out of the East, when No.5 Temple will meet No.12 Cornell, who rolled to the Ivy League title and have won their last seven games of the season. The best game of the entire first round could be No.6 Marquette, who never seem to get much credit, against No.11 Washington, who needed to win the Pac-10 tournament just to get here.

College Basketball Betting – Wildcats should roll to SEC Title

March Madness betting odds2010 March Madness odds have had Kentucky near the top of the list all season, and the Wildcats completed one part of their mission by romping their way to the SEC regular-season title. The Wildcats are big favorites in the SEC tournament this week, and they should be able to win this tournament for the first time since 2004.

The Wildcats are favored at -250, and they are such a dynamic team in the open court that it doesn’t matter how they play in the halfcourt. However, they’ve improved that facet of their game and Kentucky is definitely a force to be reckoned with. John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins could end up being lottery picks in next year’s drafts, but the Wildcats are still incredibly young and that could be a problem at this point of the season. Vanderbilt and Tennessee are both rated at +300, and the Volunteers defeated the Wildcats in Knoxville this year, one of two No.1 teams (Kansas was the other) to fall at Tennessee this season. The Volunteers recovered nicely from an early-season scandal that resulted in the suspension of Tyler Smith, their best player, and that’s a testament to the coaching job done by Bruce Pearl, who gets overshadowed by John Calipari at Kentucky.
