It’s time to get back on the ‘Bama bandwagon (hey, once a month we jump on – remember in September against Arkansas?).
We have a feeling this just may be a case of ‘anything you can do, we can do better’ for the No. 2 team in the land.

The Hurricanes hit North Carolina like Katrina-reborn last week but almost left Chapel Hill as a harmless tropical depression as the Tar Heels rallied from a 27-3 first-half deficit and a 13-point difference with 46 seconds remaining before falling short, 30-24.
Sportsbooks currently have the Hurricanes listed as 2-point favorites versus the Yellow Jackets, while the game's total is sitting at 62.
A few plays after a successful onside kick, the game ended with Carolina in Miami territory on the short end of the scoreboard – despite holding a 100+ total-yard advantage.

Our betting database expect the ‘Canes to fully fizzle out this afternoon, though, as Miami is a winless 0-4 ATS after trading blows with the Tar Heels, 1-5 ATS versus a conference foe with revenge and a worn-down 3-9 ATS in Game Seven.

The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Syracuse Orange have a meeting on Friday at Carrier Dome for the college football betting week 8.
To steal a line from Bon Jovi, ‘we’re halfway there’ and like all of the one-loss teams, the Mountaineers are ‘livin’ on a prayer.’
But for now, ‘they’ve got to hold on to what they’ve got’ and that’s a share of the Big East lead – and a fairly high national ranking.
We’re not sure that wins over Marshall, Norfolk State, Maryland, Bowling Green and UConn warrant the 15th spot in the initial BCS Standings but ‘we’ll give it a shot’ and agree with the pollsters tonight in Syracuse.

The UCLA Bruins and the Arizona Wildcats will meet on Thursday at Arizona Stadium.
Currently the Wildcats are listed as 3½-point favorites against the Bruins, while the game's total is sitting at 61½.
We have to admit, this opening 3.5-point line caught us a bit by surprise.

It has since been bet down a bit (-3) but with the Wildcats ‘Stooping’ to new lows (0-10 SU and 2-8 ATS the last 10 versus FBS opposition), it still has the makings of a ‘WTF’ (wrong team favored) special.
