Online Betting on College Football: Virginia Cavaliers vs. Miami Hurricanes

2011 Season Virginia Cavaliers vs. Miami Hurricanes PicksVirginia Cavaliers and Miami Hurricanes will fight to pick up a win on Thursday at Sun Life Stadium on a College Football betting game televised on ESPN. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

It looked like the Hurricanes turned back the calendar a couple of decades in last week’s 24-7 win over Georgia Tech.

Miami’s defense resembled those of the 80’s and 90’s (remember when Nebraska and Oklahoma found it impossible to run against those speedy ‘Canes stop-units?) as it limited the high-powered Yellow Jackets rushing attack to 134 yards on 48 carries.

That was the first time that the Wreck had been held to under 272 yards on the ground this season and the 2.8 YPC was far below their 6.3 season average.

What We Learned: Mid-Season Report

2011 College Football ReportSince we are halfway through the NCAAF Season and over a quarter of the way into the NFL, we thought this was a great time to take a look back and investigate what we have learned during the season’s first two months. It has been a fine season thus far at EA Sports Consultants; where we have been on fire the last month. Returning customers over 5 times their initial investment.

One thing that we have learned is that college football has never been more unbalanced. It is a clear case of the “haves and have not’s”. Going into the weekend the Top Ten teams in FBS have produced an unbelievable record of 57-13 ATS. That is an incredible winning percentage of 81.5%. Another amazing stat is favorites of 20 points or more are covering the spread at an unheard of 65% clip. What a headache for books and bookies everywhere!

The most glaring statistic that sticks out so far in the NFL is the rate at which games in the league are going Over the posted total. Brady, Brees and Newton are all on pace to rewrite the record books like never seen before.

College Football Online Odds: Oregon State vs. Washington State Betting

2011 Oregon State Beavers vs. Washington State Cougars Lines & Point SpreadsThe Oregon State Beavers and the Washington State Cougars will meet on Saturday at CenturyLink Field and will both be trying to pick up a win. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

You’re about to witness history tonight in Pullman. And while it may not be as important as Neil Armstrong stepping on the Moon, it is one giant step for Cougar football as HC Paul Wulff has been given the label of favorite for the first time ever in a conference matchup.

Yep, 30 times ol’ Wulffie (3-27 SU) has faced Pac-10/12 foes and all 30 times he has taken points. Not tonight! And we can hesitantly see why.

One of the three conference wins that the Cougars have garnered under Wulff was last season in Corvallis – as 23.5-point dogs!

Betting on College Football: Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma Odds

2011 Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma Sooners bettingThe Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma Sooners will fight on Saturday to pick up a win at Memorial Stadium. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

As you all are well aware (and so we’ve been told), we usually have a hard time backing the big boys, especially this time of the year when the proverbial noose tightens.

We think you’ll agree, thanks to support from our betting data, that a solid case can be made for the visiting James Gang.

For starters, if you were to look up ‘despise’ in our dictionary, you would find: /di’spiz/ vb : Homecoming Favorites. And that’s a shame as the Oklahoma defense is really stepping up, holding each of its last three opponents to season-low yardage.
