Michigan fans are feeling more than a little bit nervous right now – and why shouldn’t they? The last two college football betting seasons saw the Wolverines’ quick starts turn into downhill slides, both coming courtesy of a loss to blood rival Michigan State.
Following another whipping by the Spartans two weeks ago, it’s up to head coach Brady Hoke to make sure the Maize-and-Blue doesn’t deliver a down-the-drain three-peat.
Hoke’s first task should be reading the riot act to his offensive line.
Not only did MSU hold the Wolverines to a piddling 82 yards rushing, they registered seven sacks and made QB Denard Robinson look like a human punching bag while holding Michigan to its lowest point total of the season.
Laying doubles after having their undefeated bubble burst is bad enough but when the Wolves are asked to do so on Homecoming Day… well, you know how we feel about chalk in this situation.

The Virginia Tech Hokies and the Duke Blue Devils will meet on Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Looks like that 23-3 Clemson shocker over the Hokies back on October 1st gave Frank Beamer’s team the wake-up call they needed.
Va Tech has scored 38, 38 and 30 points in a trio of successive wins over ACC opponents.

Unfortunately for Hokie backers, that success has not been duplicated in the ATS department: Beamer’s bunch is an uncharacteristic 1-6 ATS in 2011 versus lined foes (VT went 17-8-1 against the number in the previous two seasons).

BYU and TCU will both be trying to pick up a win on Friday when they meet at Amon Carter Stadium on a betting game televised on ESPN.
Following a 1-2 start, the Mormons are now riding a five-game winning streak and a victory tonight keeps them on track to capture 10 or more regular-season wins for the fifth time in six years.
Recent history says it won’t be easy as the Cougars have been outscored 101-17 over the past three seasons in this series, but a 16-3-2 ATS mark as a road or neutral dog with revenge suggests the Provo pack just may nab a second straight series cover.

The John O`Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium will be visit by the college football betting teams Rice Owls and the Houston Cougars on Thursday, the betting game will be televised on FSN.
Like Moammar Gadhafi, sometimes you just find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time. That appears to be the case tonight for David Bailiff’s Rice Owls.
Despite getting outgained by over 100 yards, the Owls upset the Cougars as 9.5-points home dogs last season and that sets the stage for tonight’s paycheck.
You see, the last time that Rice fried the Cougars in this series (56-42 in 2008 as 3-point dogs), Houston promptly put up 73 the following year.
