College Football Week 11: Ohio Bobcats vs. Central Michigan Chippewas Preview

College Football Week 11 Ohio Bobcats vs. Central Michigan OddsThursday, November 10

The Ohio Bobcats and the Central Michigan Chippewas will fight each other on Thursday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium and the betting game will be televised on ESPNU.

Ohio took back control of the MAC East with its upset of Temple last Wednesday – improving its weekday log to 7-1 ATS in the process – and both our BSN Sports database and BSN Sports analysis feel the Bobcats will keep their claws on the division for at least another week.

Head coach Frank Solich is a sterling 6-1 ATS away with revenge (2009 MAC title game) versus .333 or less opposition and his Bobbies own a 156-yard stat advantage over Central Michigan against the three common foes they’ve faced this betting season.

And while the Chippewas are 5-1 ATS in their next-to-last home game of the season, we’re not about to trust a worn-down defense (No. 86) that is playing its 11th straight game without a break.

Miami (Ohio) RedHawks vs. Temple Owls Odds and Stats on Week 11

Miami (Ohio) RedHawks vs. Temple Owls LinesThe Miami Ohio RedHawks and the Temple Owls will fight on Wednesday at Lincoln Financial Field in a College Football Betting game televised on ESPN.

Last week’s BSN Sports news reminded us that it was ‘Now or Never’ for Miami Ohio and Northwestern – and both delivered the goods in a major way: the RedHawks routed Akron from the get-go while the Wildcats delivered a SU win as 17.5-point dogs at Nebraska.

In doing so, both kept their bowl hopes alive… though it will be much harder for the 4-5 ‘Hawks to hit the alleys as mediocre MAC teams can’t even get the free tickets they give away to a Ron Popeil infomercial audience, let alone a bowl invite.

While Miami Ohio will win the East should they run the table, we feel a soft schedule (lined opposition 23-48 SU) will finally catch up with them.

Boise State Broncos vs. UNLV Rebels Battle at Sam Boyd Stadium

2011 Boise State Broncos vs. UNLV Rebels Game PreviewThe Boise State Broncos and the UNLV Rebels will meet on Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium and the NCAA Football game is televised on VERSUS.

Well, it’s obvious by now that if Boise beats the Rebels by 100 points today, they’ll still trail in the BCS rankings should Oklahoma State, Stanford, LSU or Alabama manage a win.

So, with nothing to be gained by piling up the points – and hoping to avoid injury before next week’s big winner- take-all MWC showdown with TCU – Broncos’ head coach Chris Petersen may leave some of the artillery back at the armory for this duel in the desert.

Boise State has seen its share of big pointspreads but the opening line of 42 points is getting a little bit out there (BSU just 2-3 ATS last five laying 40 or more points).

However, this matchup can claim one of the day’s more unusual stat situations: the host in UNLV games is an astonishing 17-2 ATS under 2nd-year coach Bobby Hauck.

Army Black Knights vs. Air Force Falcons College Football Latest News

Army Black Knights vs. Air Force Falcons Sports NewsThe Army Black Knights and the Air Force Falcons will fight today at Falcon Stadium, in a college football game televised on CBS.

With the nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 rushing attacks on display here, we’d love to pick a side and watch these two try to run the ball down each other’s throats.

However, the injury bug prevents us from giving this one more than a passing glance.

Both starting QB’s could be out for today’s game: Army’s Trent Steelman missed the last sports news game versus Fordham with an ankle injury while Air Force’s Tim Jefferson left the New Mexico game with a hamstring pull (their respective backups, the Cadets’ Max Jenkins and the Falcons’ Connor Dietz, combined to go just 2-for-3 for 39 yards in their absences).

Army has been strafed repeatedly in this series recently, going just 1-8 SUATS in the last nine skirmishes. They’ve also lost the game and the money five straight times.
