The Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will host the game between the Pittsburgh Panthers and the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday.
As expected (a.k.a. hoped for), the Cardinals went to Morgantown and answered the call as our Upset Special, handing the Mountaineers a 38- 35 setback as 13-point dogs.
They haven’t delivered nearly as much at Papa John’s Stadium as the home faithful would like (3-2 SU with losses to FIU and Marshall) and the feeling here is the linesmaker overreacted to last week’s win.
While it was a great win for Louie – as well as for us – to be fair, the Cards were outgained by 182 yards in the contest.

Virginia Tech Hokies and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets game on Thursday at Bobby Dodd Stadium and televised on ESPN.
As of this writing, Virginia Tech has been installed as a 1-point favorite and that has us dressing up with the Jackets as the Hokies are just 1-8 ATS as conference favorites off a double-digit ATS loss, as well as 1-5 ATS with rest versus conference opposition.
It also brings into play Paul Johnson’s 13-5 SU and 13-4-1 ATS mark as a ‘pick’ or dog of less than five points, including 5-0 SU and ATS versus a foe off a double-digit ATS loss.
However, should the money move to the hosts, don’t be fooled by their ‘BRILLIANT DISGUISE’ as squads who have upset undefeated teams as a dog and are asked to lay points in the follow-up game have struggled mightily throughout the years.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Penn State Nittany Lions will face each other on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
Penn State without his long time coach Joe Paterno that was fired by the university's board of trustees on Wednesday night.
What a bummer. Despite poor numbers and lethargic play on the field, the Lions sit atop the Big Ten Leaders division with a two-game lead – but Penn State’s quest to remain perfect in conference play today will undoubtedly be eclipsed by the sordid scandal that has exploded in not-so-Happy Valley.
The details surrounding former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky’s alleged abuse of eight minors continue to unfold and many sports journalists are opining that the shocking events could was the end of legendary head coach Joe Paterno.

The Houston Cougars and the Tulane Green Wave will fight to pick up a win on Thursday at Louisiana Superdome in a game that you can watch on CBS.
You’re not going to like this. Heck, we even wrote this one in pencil!
Yes, we’re asking you to back a team that has an interim head coach, has lost seven straight on the season allowing 44 or more points in four of those contests, is 0-5 ATS in its last five weekday conference clashes and has a defense that will be on the field for the 11th straight week against Heisman candidate Case Keenum and the high-powered Cougars.
We won’t even mention that UH has outscored ‘em 311-129 since 2003 (7-0-1 ATS).
Ouch! However, none of those lines (-19 was the highest) were near tonight’s five-touchdown number and this week’s BSN Sports says the ‘noose tightens’ tonight for the unbeaten Coogs.
