The Rose Bowl is the oldest bowl game in the country, and has always featured the PAC-10 champion against the Big Ten champion unless either was in the national title game. TCU will move to a BCS conference in the coming year, but before they do will have the chance to prove that they belong on the biggest sportsbook promo stage in the Rose Bowl. NCAA Football Betting Preview: Wisconsin The three-headed attack of running backs James White, John Clay, and Montee Ball will lead the charge for Wisconsin’s fourth-ranked offense, which has imposed its will on opponents all season. All three of those backs have gained at least 881 yards this year, and a mammoth offensive line is the biggest reason why. The Badgers’ offense was never projected to be as strong as it’s been, but with an offensive line on which no member is less than 6-foot-3 and 312 pounds, Wisconsin has been able to wear opposing college football betting defenses down with its physical style. That line will need to be at its best again against the nation’s top-ranked defense, as the Badgers pound the ball inside to allow Unitas Award winner and quarterback Scott Tolzien to go over the top. NCAA Football Betting Preview: TCU The Horned Frogs actually finished tied with Wisconsin for the fourth-ranked football betting offense in the country, with senior Andrew Dalton’s terrific season a big reason why. Dalton has thrown for 2, 638 yards and 28 touchdowns this year, while rushing for 481 with five more scores. The running back tandem of Ed Wesley and Matthew Tucker combined to rush for 1, 799 yards for TCU’s 12th-ranked rushing attack, and both will need big games to answer the Badgers; firepower. The Horned Frogs ranked No. 1 in the country on defense this year, but have never faced an offense as strong as Wisconsin’s. and may need their defense to come up big in this one to get the victory. The Match Up: Wiconsin v. TCU The Horned Frogs may find things different when they head to a BCS conference next season, but for now will get a little taste of the competition level they will face on a regular basis when they take on Wisconsin. TCU had a solid season and deserved recognition for it, but the fact remains that nothing they encountered this year will have prepared them for this.
