Grizzlies vs. Clippers NBA Free OddsWhile the Toronto Raptors are looking over draft prospects as they head towards the lottery, there are 16 teams that are preparing for the playoffs, which begins on Saturday night and there is an interesting matchup brewing in the Western Conference. The Los Angeles Clippers have been all over the place this season as they sit in fourth place in the conference, but Memphis is tied with the Clippers as of Wednesday and the two are still battling for homecourt advantage.

Grizzlies vs. Clippers NBA Free Odds

The Grizzlies host Orlando on Thursday night, but sportsbook reviews would state that they’d won five in a row heading into that game and everyone knows how important is for a team to be playing well going into the playoffs. Memphis was the biggest surprise of last year’s postseason, but they went through much of the season without Zach Randolph, who was the key to their success last year. But they do have Rudy Gay, who was hurt for last year’s run, and Tony Allen, arguably the best perimeter defender in the league and don’t forget about Marc Gasol in the middle.

The Grizzlies are sixth in the NBA in defense, and those that use bookmaker betting software know that defense is the way to get to the Finals.

The Clippers were labeled “Lob City” because of Blake Griffin’s SportsCenter-worthy dunks and Chris Paul running the show, but this team has been inconsistent at times and in the fourth quarter, it becomes a one-man show as Paul has to do everything on the offensive end because Griffin (as well as DeAndre Jordan) is a terrible free-throw shooter. The Clippers have a decent bench when everyone is healthy, but they’ll need a more versatile gameplan late in games to seriously challenge for the title.

Online betting odds should favor the Grizzlies in this series, even though the Clippers won two of three in the regular season. It’ll be interesting to see what Memphis does with Allen, who can guard Paul and then the Clippers would have to rely on Randy Foye to take advantage of his matchup with Mike Conley. The Grizzlies are also one of the few teams that have the size and length to bother the Clippers and they should be encouraged by last year’s playoff run, while this Clippers team is largely inexperienced at this time of year and they’re still too one-dimensional. The Grizzlies are no longer a surprise, but there will be a few that pick against them in this matchup; don’t fall into the trap. Wager on Memphis in your best sports betting news sportsbook.
