NBA Finals Game 3 Free Picks: Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs

2013 NBA Finals Free PicksThe San Antonio Spurs seemed to have exactly what they needed to knock off the Miami Heat in game one of the NBA Finals. That all fell apart in game two, and now it will be on the Spurs to respond. The NBA Finals will shift to San Antonio for games three, four, and five with each team having won a game, which means it will take a home sweep for the Spurs to avoid a return trip to South Beach. That is a lot to ask from a San Antonio team that was awful in game two, but if they can adjust and come out with a much more fundamentally sound approach then they will have the chance to take the price per head series lead with game three on Tuesday night.

NBA Finals – Game 3
Miami Heat @ San Antonio Spurs

AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas
NBA Sportsbook Reviews Line: San Antonio – 2.5

The Heat certainly adjusted following their game-one loss, improving to 5-0 following a postseason loss in the Big Three era. Miami’s 19-point win is the largest for a team in game two of the NBA Finals following a loss in game one, and now it’s about approaching the rest of the series with the same consistency as they go on the road.

NBA Betting Preview: Miami Heat

The fact that the Heat managed to win by such an impressive margin in game two even with Lebron James struggling the way he did through the first two quarters is somewhat surprising, as a number of players stepped up. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh continued to struggle with their shooting efficiency, but Mario Chalmers stepped up with a game-high 19 points and the combination of Ray Allen and Mike Miller went off for 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Miami will be tough to beat if the supporting cast continues to produce similar sports betting numbers, and it will be on the Spurs to respond.

NBA Betting Preview: San Antonio Spurs

Part of the issue was how exhausted San Antonio appeared to be by the end of game two, and a big part of that were the 17 turnovers they had after turning the ball over just four times in game one. The Spurs were unable to keep possession during a 22-2 Miami run that broke the game wide open, but there are positives to take from the loss going forward. The fact that the game was even close in the third quarter despite Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili all struggling is a good sign, especially with Danny Green going off for a team-high 17 points on 6-of-6 shooting. San Antonio will need Green to put up big live betting numbers again in game three, only this time the Big Three will need to help him out.

NBA Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Miami isn’t going to get those numbers from Allen and Miller every night, and the Spurs will get a lot more from Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili going forward after an awful game two. San Antonio is a tough team to beat at home, and will flex its muscle in a big way as it looks to bounce back with a dominant performance to put game two in the past where it belongs.
