2012 NBA PlayoffsAfter watching the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder take care of their Western conference semi-final opponents in no time, NBA fans are now waiting to see which two teams will square off in the East for a chance to reach the NBA finals. Game seven for both series’ will be played in a doubleheader this Saturday, one day before the Spurs and Thunder open the Western conference finals with game one Sunday, with odds available with the sites listed on the sportsbooks reviews.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Boston Celtics
Saturday, TBD

Much in the same way that it didn’t help the Los Angeles Lakers when they couldn’t put away the Denver Nuggets in the opening round, it won’t help the veteran Celtics if they advance that this series went to a seventh game.

Boston has been one of the best teams in the NBA since the All Star break, but age has played a role in an inability to put teams away, and they may not have any gas left in the tank if they beat Philadelphia. Home court advantage will be important fort he Celtics in this one, even though the 76ers have been very good on the road. Philly plays its best basketball when it works as a team and really spreads the floor, and if they can defend the Boston stars and play that strong transition game, they can at least keep it close. Celtics’ guard Rajon Rondo has emerged as the most talented player on this team in these playoffs, but veteran leaders like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will make the difference in such a critical sports betting situation.

NBA Betting Pick: Boston Celtics

Indiana Pacers @ Miami Heat
Saturday, TBD

Nobody could have predicted before this betting series started that it would last so long or that it would be so physical, so it is to the Pacers’ credit that both have happened. Indiana president Larry Bird drew on his history as an executive by calling out his players the same way that he did with the Celtics in 1994 when they came back to beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA finals, and he is hoping that the same outcome will happen here. However, the biggest difference among many then and now is that Boston team didn’t have to overcome the same talent differential as this one has had to, and that can only last so long. The Pacers have battled hard to keep Lebron James and Dwayne Wade from advancing to the next round, but as was the case in games four and five, you cannot hold down superstars of this caliber for so long. Indiana is fortunate enough that Chris Bosh has not been available, but the Heat have adjusted since he went down and overcome the loss. Home court advantage will play a big role in this game as well, as Miami returns to the Eastern conference finals after another hard-fought per head series.
