NBA BettingThe NBA All-Star game is approaching and the betting world knows that playoff spots are at stake. The resurgence of the Los Angeles Lakers has made things very interesting in the Western Conference, but there is plenty of drama to consider on the eastern side of the equation as well. The Miami Heat are not in solid command of the Eastern Conference, and many of the sportsbook experts are starting to wonder if the Indiana Pacers is ready to make its move to a deeper spot in the playoffs. As the weekend approaches, the top Eastern Conference teams are jockeying for position and making things very interesting for fans to watch.

Saturday – Charlotte Bobcats @ Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers may actually be able to get excited about the prospects of getting Andrew Bynum healthy and in the active lineup. Bynum has been out of the game for so long that a little stint in the developmental league may be in order, but the 76ers need him so badly that he may just get put back into the team’s lineup.

The bookie software is still not holding out a whole lot of hope for a Philadelphia playoff run, but a home game against the Charlotte Bobcats just prior to the All-Star break may be just what Philly needs to gain some momentum.

Pick: Philadelphia 76ers

Saturday – Detroit Pistons @ Milwaukee Bucks

A BSNsportsblog review of the Milwaukee Bucks shows that the team is extremely hard to pin down and figure out. It has been winning more than it has been losing as of late and it is slowly working its way up the standings. The Detroit Pistons had a stretch where people may have believed it could have been a playoff team, but that faded as quickly as it started. It looks like the Bucks is the team to watch in this game.

Pick: Milwaukee Bucks

Sunday – Los Angeles Clippers @ New York Knicks

This promises to be the best game of the weekend and it will show just how ready the New York Knicks is to be a real contender in the Eastern Conference. Despite some problems winning games a couple of weeks ago, the Knicks is now back on track while the Clippers is struggling to win games. The Knicks sound the bell in a game that may have the Clippers playing without Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

Pick: New York Knicks

Sunday – Los Angeles Lakers @ Miami Heat

This game is just full of intrigue as fans will get a chance to see if the new Lakers is able to show some kind of dominance over the defending champs. As the Lakers sneak up towards a .500.
