NBA Betting – Saturday Previews

NBA Betting OddsNew Jersey Nets @ Boston Celtics

Sportsbook Odds: Celtics -11

The New Jersey Nets are already one of the worst teams in the NBA. The last thing they need is to run into an angry Eastern Conference contender.

The Boston Celtics are supposed to be NBA Championship contenders but the reality has been fairly different. The Celtics are still atop the Atlantic Division and they are still in position to lock down home court advantage in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

But the Celtics have been struggling. They are coming off a very tough home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, which may be a real wakeup call. The Celtics lost by 20 at home to a team that they are supposed to be contending with for an Eastern Championship.

The Nets are absolutely abysmal and won’t have much of a shot at winning this game.  They are 5-52 on the year and are on pace to set a record for the fewest wins in an NBA season. On Saturday, facing the Celtics who are looking to bounce back in a big way will be a problem.

Look for the Celtics to roll.

NBA Betting Picks: Celtics -11

Memphis Grizzlies @ New York Knicks

Sportsbook Odds: Grizzlies -2

The New York Knicks just keep getting worse. After another trade that freed up some cap room, the Knicks have become one of the most embarrassing teams in the NBA.

They have now lost eight straight games, which is the longest losing streak in the NBA. Although Tracy McGrady might actually give the team a boost, the reality is they just want him for his expiring contract and not his diminishing talents.

The Grizzlies were in a bit of a funk prior to the All-Star Game but have come out with a little more moxie. They are 3-3 in their last six but that includes a one-point loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and an overtime loss to Miami.

The Grizzlies are the better team in the matchup but playing on the road is an issue for them. They are just 11-17 away from home but they have notched back-to-back road wins.

Look for them to carry that confidence over into this game and handle the listless Nets. They’ll do just enough to get a road win and inch a bit closer to the playoffs.

Pick: Grizzlies
