NBA Betting: Mavericks Get Up Close Look At Howard With Visit To Orlando

NBA Betting OddsAs the NBA regular season continues to wind down, the spotlight continues to shine on the teams fighting for playoff positions around the association, on everything that they accomplished and everything that is still up for grabs. While the Miami Heat could be without one of their Big Three for a trip to Toronto, the New York Knicks are definitely without one of their biggest stars as they head for Atlanta, and it could be some time still before the Dallas Mavericks have any chance of landing one of the big names they had to have believed they could have acquired this season, even though they will get a good look at one of those players this Friday.

Miami Heat @ Toronto Raptors

While at first glance this might not seem like that tough of a matchup for the Heat, the fact of the matter is that they could be without Lebron James due to nagging injuries, and all six of their losses in the sports betting month of March have come on the road.

Toronto won’t scare many teams regardless of whether they are on their own home court or on the road, but they did keep their only loss to Miami this season close. Still, the duo of Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh should be enough for the Heat to win this one, especially with Bosh playing against the franchise that drafted him once again.

NBA Betting Pick: Miami Heat

New York Knicks @ Atlanta Hawks
Friday, 7:30 PM ET

The Knicks responded to news that Amare Stoudamire was out indefinitely and Jeremy Lin day-to-day with a big win over the Milwaukee Bucks to pad their lead on the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern conference, but had a tougher time against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday and things won’t get any easier against the Hawks. Atlanta has been excellent at home all season and still has a strong chance at clinching home advantage in the postseason if they can finish the year strong. While New York has looked good at MSG, they have been absolutely awful on the road all year, and it’s unlikely that will change against one of the better pay head home teams in the East.

NBA Betting Pick: Atlanta Hawks

Dallas Mavericks @ Orlando Magic
Friday, 8:00 PM ET

The defending NBA champion Mavericks elected not to resign both Tyson Chandler and JJ Barea in the offseason in hopes of landing either Dwight Howard or Deron Williams before this year’s trade deadline. Dallas got neither, and with Howard now committed to the Magic for at least one more year, head coach Rick Carlisle’s team is in a tough position as a best betting lines underdog to make it back to the finals. A veteran core that includes Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, and Shawn Marion have had trouble keeping up with the lockout shortened season and condensed schedule, and the Mavericks are now going to be on the wrong side of a matchup with Howard as they continue to look for answers to how to improve down low after letting Chandler get away.

NBA Betting Pick: Orlando Magic
