NBA Betting: Davis at No. 1 The Only Certainty For NBA Draft 2012

NBA Draft 2012The Miami Heat are NBA champions, and although they didn’t “shock the world” the way that an overly excited Juwan Howard put it at their championship celebration, they did find a way to get it done and deliver the first of the many NBA titles that Lebron James and company promised the online betting franchise. From the Heat’s celebration, to a reason for optimism for the teams that finished near the bottom of the NBA standings this past season, the NBA Draft 2012 is finally here. The New Orleans Hornets won’t shock anyone when they select Anthony Davis with the first overall pick, but after that, anything can happen. Join Now to Bet on this Game!

1.New Orleans Hornets - Anthony Davis

It’s a good thing that the future No. 1 pick has already locked up his trademark “Fear the Brow” and promised to never get rid of it, because after Davis is drafted the burden of a franchise will be placed on his shoulders.

The 6’11’’ forward has the skill set to play all five positions on the floor, and his undeniable talent will be a huge boost for a Hornets’ franchise that is still not over the loss of Chris Paul. Despite their poor performance overall, New Orleans does have several key pieces moving forward, with Davis as the new cornerstone of the sportsbook franchise.

2. Charlotte Bobcats – Thomas Robinson

There have been several rumors about the Bobcats trading out of this pick, and after missing out on the No. 1 selection to New Orleans despite being the favorite to win the draft lottery, owner Michael Jordan must be shaking his head. Davis is undoubtedly the top talent in the draft, but after that it is wide open, and if Charlotte doesn’t trade the pick it will likely settle on the athletic Thomas Robinson. Robinson averaged a double-double in points and rebounds in his final season with Kansas, and should be ready to contribute immediately to a team desperate to add some skill.

3. Washington Wizards - Bradley Beal

After adding Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor, John Wall and the Wizards will now focus on acquiring a pure scorer that can hit from anywhere on the floor, and Beal appears to be that player. Washington already acquired a pair of solid two-way players in Ariza and Okafor, and if Beal can be the pure scorer that compliments the athletic Wall, then the Wizards will be in pretty solid shape heading in to next betting news season.

4. Cleveland Cavaliers - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

While the Cavaliers already have a point guard in NBA Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving, Kidd-Gilchrist is too strong of a talent for them to let fall any further, and he could provide an intriguing sports betting tandem with Irving.

5. Sacramento Kings - Damian Lillard

One of the fastest rising prospects in this draft, Lillard will give the Kings a pure scorer that can hit from anywhere on the floor. A steady, athletic guard who showed a lot of improvement throughout his senior season, Lillard will be a welcome addition to a Sacramento team on which he will be paired with Tyreke Evans.
