NBA Betting – Bulls chasing playoffs, Nets trying to avoid historic futility

NBA OddsMarch Madness odds will have at least one of the contestants in Saturday night’s matchup between Chicago and New Jersey, as the Nets are in the lead for the No.1 pick in the draft, but they’re also trying to get at least one more win to avoid losing the most games in NBA history. The Bulls are 2.5 games behind Toronto for the last playoff spot in the East, but they’re coming off a tremendous beating at home.

Nets vs Bulls odds – Saturday, March 27, 8:00 PM ET

The Nets have a chance to win back-to-back games for the first time this year after a 93-79 win over Sacramento at home on Wednesday. Brook Lopez, who has been a beacon of light in what has been an absolutely dreadful year, had 26 points and 13 rebounds, while Devin Harris added 24 points for the Nets, who shot just 39%, but they held the Kings to 35.8%. Granted, the Kings were missing Tyreke Evans, the probable Rookie of the Year, but the Nets will take them where they can get them.

The Bulls had won two in a row before they were blasted 103-74 at home by Miami on Thursday in a game that no sports betting players saw coming. The Bulls were down by 30 at the half and never even looked like they would get back into the game until it was way out of hand. Hakim Warrick came off the bench to net 14 points, while Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson had 12 poiunts each for the Bulls, who shot 32.9% from the field, while the Heat shot 51.9%. This was not the type of showing you want to see from a team who are still in the playoff hunt, and with Toronto slumping as of late, the Bulls need to show some guts, or it will probably be the head of Vinny Del Negro as coach.

You’d probably get better odds in an online super casino than you would get on the Nets to win on Saturday, but we’re taking the upset here. The Nets won in Chicago 103-101 on December 8th behind a 25-point, 10-rebound performance from Lopez for their first win on the road of the season, and the Nets pose some matchup problems for the Bulls, namely, who will stop Lopez as Joakim Noah is just getting back into the lineup after missing all of March with a foot injury. Rose needs to step up and will this team to a win or else their playoff hopes are toast, and we don’t think he has that type of mentality just yet, and quite frankly, trying to avoid being the worst team in NBA history may be more motivation to play well than actually making the playoffs. Go with the Nets on Saturday night before checking out the odds on March Madness.
