NBA Betting – Bucks Will Beat Bobcats

NBA Betting OddsCharlotte Bobcats (26-26) vs Milwaukee Bucks (24-28)

Following a busy trade deadline, these two teams will get a chance to test out their tweaked line-ups when they meet in Milwaukee on Saturday at 8:30 pm EST. This should be a good test between two teams separated by just two games in the fight for the eighth seed in the East. Both will be coming off Friday night contests; Charlotte hosts powerhouse Cleveland and Milwaukee is playing lowly Detroit.

NBA Betting: Primetime Performers

Bobcats: Gerald Wallace was the first All Star in Bobcats history and, after the season he has put together, it was well earned. Putting up close to 19 points and 11 boards a game, he is well above his 16 and 6.8 that he averaged over his past six seasons with Charlotte. He will create a big matchup problem for the Bucks as Carlos Delfino will not be able to guard him.

Bucks: Andrew Bogut is the heart and soul of this Bucks team. Leading them in rebounds, blocks and second in points, he is the powering force down low that keep this team in games. Going up against Tyson Chandler (starter Nazr Mohammed is questionable with back problems), who had trouble containing Brooks Lopez on Wednesday, he should be able to have a solid game.

Betting Tips: X-Factors

Bobcats: Stephen Jackson is a player that can shoot a team in or out of a game; as seen by his seven for 20 shooting and missing all six three-point attempts in Tuesday’s loss to New Jersey. Putting up over 21 points a game this season, he has been a great addition to the Bobcats, who were lacking an offensive weapon of his calibre. Going up against another streaky shooter in John Salmons, this game will probably come down to which one gets hot in the fourth quarter.

Bucks: Brandon Jennings is in this season’s conversation for rookie of the year. Averaging 16.8 points and six assists this season, he has sparked this Bucks team that was lifeless last year after the departure of Mo Williams. The one problem he has had of late is inconsistency. In January he was held to less than 10 points on three occasions. This month he has only hit double digits in three of seven games. If the Bucks want to win, he will have to be on his game against a solid defensive point guard in Raymond Felton.

The Matchup

When the Bucks added John Salmons, they got a streaky shooter that is much like a taller but less prolific Michael Redd. While he is very dangerous at times, he is just as likely to hinder Milwaukee. Tyrus Thomas gives a massive amount of athleticism to a Charlotte team that already boast some great athletes. The Bobcats have the potential to win this game however the lacklustre game against the Nets and a demanding game the night before against a very physical Cavaliers game, added to their 7-19 road record, it seems unlikely that they will pull it out.

Sportsbook Pick: Bucks
