'Air' Jordan, Chicago Bulls, was inducted along with other extraordinary figures as the basis of John Stockton of the Utah Jazz, the pivot David Robinson of San Antonio Spurs and coaches Jerry Sloan, also the Utah Jazz, and Vivian Stringer, sorority league. At the award ceremony, which took place in Springfield, Massachusetts, home of the Hall of Fame, attended by relatives of the winners, coaches and other members of the Hall of Fame. "It'sa real pleasure to be part of this ceremony is not that I go into the Hall of Fame, but the group who make all of us," Jordan said. "I feel very proud to be part of them and believe me, I will always remember and it will be reciprocal. During 15 years with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards, Jordan had 32,292 points, third best in NBA history, behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone. He won the MVP five times and six NBA rings with the Bulls.
