Miami Starting To Heat Up After Big Road Win in Game Three

Miami Heat PlayoffsThe majority of sports betting news experts predicted after game two that the Miami Heat would need six or even seven games if they were going to get past the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the Eastern Conference final. It might not even get that far if the Heat continue to play the way they did in game three. Miami will be aiming for consecutive wins when it takes to the floor at the Bankers Fieldhouse in Indiana on Tuesday, two days after handing the Pacers their worst loss of the season by a final 114-96. Lebron James simply dominated the Indiana defense that had kept him in check through the first two games, and the surrounding cast stepped up big time for the Heat. That has changed the tone in favor of a Miami team that once looked out of sync at home, as the Heat now have all of the momentum.

This was a different Miami team than we saw in games one and two, as the Heat were much more aggressive and really took it to Indiana from the live betting opening tip off. Miami made the necessary adjustments after their first loss, and really stepped up the sense of urgency at both ends of the floor.

Lebron ended up scoring points and dishing out just three assists, but his presence on the floor really took the attention off of his teammates and opened things up for good looks. The supporting cast really stood up and took advantage of the opportunities from there, and nobody was better in that area than Udonis Haslem.

Haslem ended up shooting 8-of-9 from the field for 17 points, and it was his accuracy that really made the difference. With Lebron, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh all on the floor the Pacers already had enough to deal with, but the addition of Haslem’s perimeter presence really took Miami’s offensive game to the next level. Indiana struggled to keep up, and even Chris Anderson was getting in to the act with nine points on 4-of-4 shooting. While that may not seem like a big deal on the surface, that consistency can be the sports betting difference in opening up space for both the support staff and the main stars, and that is why the Heat were so good in game three.

The NBA playoffs are all about adjustments and who can make the right ones, so the ball will now be in the Pacers’ court to address what went wrong in game three and adapt. Indiana is a talented group with a lot of skill, but unless they find a way to slow down this Miami offense they will be in big trouble. Wednesday’s game amounts to a must-win situation for the Heat, and if they fail to get the job done it could mean this series ending much sooner than the majority of price per head experts predicted.
