Jason Kidd Agreed to Continue with the MavericksJason Kidd agreed to continue with the Dallas Mavericks to sign a contract for three seasons and $ 25 million.

The owner was a free agent and the Knicks in New York had shown strong interest in recruiting.

"We are delighted that JKidd and the Mavs reached an agreement to continue with the Mavs Jason," said team owner Mark Cuban in an email.

With the new contract, the player could complete 37 years of his career in Dallas, where he started in 1994. He has also played with Phoenix and New Jersey.

Continuity allows the Mavericks have a nucleus around star Dirk Nowitzki, without having to find replacements.

Kidd, third on the list in the history of NBA betting news attendance, may continue as a mentor of the Puerto Rican Jose Juan Barea, who last season was established as a solid substitute. The team also has the position with rookie Beaubois Rodrigue, who arrives from France.

The agreement, which can not be completed until Wednesday.
