NBA Finals PredictionsIt is absolutely amazing that 14 years after making their first trip to the NBA Finals, San Antonio Spurs’ head coach Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan are back in the championship series looking to add to their resume with another NBA title. The tandem of Popovich and Duncan has never lost in the NBA Finals, going a perfect 5-0 on the biggest stage of them all. This Spurs’ team will certainly have its work cut out for them against Lebron James and the Miami Heat, but the veteran coaching of Popovich and the play of Duncan should be the sportsbook reviews difference in them getting the job done.

It will be on Popovich to game plan around Lebron and figure out the best way to limit what he can do at the offensive end of the floor, but just as important will be how the Spurs answer back on offense. Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole have both shown flashes of strong play throughout the postseason, but they should be no match for Tony Parker and Popovich must find a way to get him as many looks as possible. San Antonio is also a much deeper team than Miami, and they must find a way to move the ball and try and tired out the Heat at the defensive end of the floor. The Spurs can play both big and small, and it will be on Popovich to determine in live betting situations which lineup gives his team the best chance to win.

The inside match up with Duncan will also be a major strength for San Antonio, as the Heat just don’t have the big bodies to deal with his presence in the paint. Indiana Pacers’ center Roy Hibbert was able to have his way for the most part in the Eastern Conference Final, and Duncan is much more polished than Hibbert so he should be able to do even more. It will be interesting to see how Miami goes about defending Duncan and Tiago Splitter down low, and if those two continue to work well together it will be a major price per head advantage in favor of the Spurs.

The tandem of Duncan and Popovich aren’t done just yet regardless of how this NBA Finals plays out, and the sports betting numbers provide every indication that Duncan still has a lot left in him. The experience that these two bring to the table in particular will give San Antonio an edge in this series, so they must capitalize on the opportunity. Lebron James is still the best player in this series for either team, but the tandem of Duncan and Popovich has been here before, is undefeated in five trips to the NBA Finals, and is ready for whatever Miami throws at them in this series.
