The NBA’s eight first-round playoff series will switch venues this weekend, as lower-seeded teams will try to put higher seeds on their heels. Will the new environments make a difference?
Eastern Conference First Round, Game 4:
Brooklyn Nets @ Chicago Bulls – Saturday, April 27
A prudent betting agent would point out that this series between the fourth-seeded Nets and the fifth-seeded Bulls should go at least six games, if not the full seven. There’s so little separation between these teams that it will be hard to expect either one to go on a two-game winning streak within the course of the series, unless it’s in Game 6 and Game 7 (simply because Game 7 situations are volatile and have a one-shot quality to them). If you do subscribe to that larger line of thought, you will almost certainly conclude that this series will leave Chicago tied at two games apiece.

The NBA playoffs are now underway, and finally we can see the first place Miami Heat in playoff form. On Tuesday they will take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. They played their first game on Sunday night, and it will be interesting to see if the Bucks can keep up with the seemingly unstoppable Heat on the road. As of right now, the Heat have the upper hand over the Bucks, but only time will tell.
Miami Heat
The Heat finished the regular season an incredible 66-16 finishing first in the Southeastern Division. They were able to take down the Bucks on Sunday night 110-87. Many sports books gave the Heat the favoring odds and it was well worth it as they were able to clear the over/under. After having a great season, the Heat are looking to further their season long campaign to once again by NBA champions.

The New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, and Los Angeles Clippers will all be favored to win their playoff openers on Saturday. Can any underdog pull off an upset?
Eastern Conference First Round, Game 1:
(7) Boston Celtics @ (2) New York Knicks – Saturday, April 20
Betting services will likely say that the clash between the Celtics and Knicks should be the beginning of a long series. However, New York should be able to get off to a good start in the opener. The biggest thing to realize about this series matchup is that the absence of Boston point guard Rajon Rondo will matter in the postseason. The Celtics will miss the rebounding, defense and creating that Rondo offers. New York has a clear edge at the point guard spot, with Raymond Felton figuring to get into the paint on a reasonably consistent basis and make kickouts to open wing shooters.

The Boston Celtics are known for rallying around the flag with fewer resources than they’d like to have. Can they beat one of the hottest teams in the NBA this weekend?
Eastern Conference First Round, Game 1:
(7) Boston Celtics @ (2) New York Knicks
In the realm of sports betting online, this game is one that will generate a fair amount of debate. Regardless of the particulars of your arrangement with a per head service, though, you will have to acknowledge that the New York Knicks are going to own more leverage than the Boston Celtics when this first-round playoff series begins.
New York should rate as the favorite in Game 1 on the weekend in the Big Apple. The biggest thing to realize about this series matchup is that the absence of Boston point guard Rajon Rondo will matter in the postseason.
