Washington Wizards, Gilbert Arenas, pleaded guilty to felony charges for carrying an unlicensed firearm in his presentation this Friday before a Superior Court of Justice in Washington.
The felony charge carries a maximum sentence of five years behind bars, but prosecutors are recommending that Arenas will serve no more than six months in jail as part of a deal to get an admission of guilt that could ruin his NBA Betting career.
Arenas had admitted having taken four firearms at the Wizards' locker room on 21 December but faces a single charge in a deal with prosecutors in exchange for leniency in the court hearing scheduled for March 26.
"He accepted full responsibility for their actions," Arenas said attorney, Kenneth Wainstein said in a statement that the player also apologized for his conduct and agree to have committed a serious violation of the law.

Between 1999 and 2007, the Atlanta Hawks failed to qualify for the play-off in the NBA. In the last two seasons have been achieved through mediocre records, including a 37-45 in 2007-2008.
This year promises easily achieved because they have a record of 21-8, to be the fourth best team in the Eastern Conference.
Definitely, for Atlanta, closing decade is much brighter than the beginning.
Currently, the Hawks are in second place in the Southeast Division behind the favorite, Orlando.
Despite having the league ranked in previous seasons, the Atlanta began the season with a big question mark on their backs.
The team is led by one of the most talented players in the NBA betting, the post Josh Smith, who is recognized both for his ability as for his immaturity.
