 While NCAA basketball odds and NHL Trade Deadline Day are the key topic of the moment, it is also a big week in the NBA. The NBA playoff race if heating up with every game counting for critical points in the standings. Tuesday night features several top match ups across the National Basketball Association. Here is a game preview for the Boston Celtics versus the Detroit Pistons.

Two Eastern Conference rivals meet Tuesday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit. Once two of the top teams in the NBA, the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons are now fighting just to stay alive in the Eastern Conference. While the Detroit Pistons might be out of the playoff race, they are still a dangerous team and can play the role of spoiler heading down the stretch for teams like Boston. Regardless of the standings, it is always an exciting game when these two franchises meet. Both teams are riding losing streaks entering Tuesday’s game, so anything is possible.

Shaquille O'Neal Could Miss the rest of NBA Betting Season |

 Shaquille O'Neal, the Cleveland Cavaliers, will undergo a surgery and will probably miss the rest of the regular season in the NBA Betting.
O'Neal, who will turn 38 in five days, suffered a sprained thumb on his right hand in game against the Boston Celtics on Thursday.
Dr. Thomas Graham, the Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, will be responsible for the surgery of O'Neal, who according to previous estimates will be off the court during a period of six to eight weeks .
Acquired by the Cavaliers last summer, O'Neal joined the franchise with an eye toward the NBA betting playoffs last year as Cleveland was eliminated by the Orlando Magic to have as a "big man" under the boards to Dwight Howard.

 New Jersey Nets @ Boston Celtics
Sportsbook Odds: Celtics -11
The New Jersey Nets are already one of the worst teams in the NBA. The last thing they need is to run into an angry Eastern Conference contender.
The Boston Celtics are supposed to be NBA Championship contenders but the reality has been fairly different. The Celtics are still atop the Atlantic Division and they are still in position to lock down home court advantage in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
But the Celtics have been struggling. They are coming off a very tough home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, which may be a real wakeup call. The Celtics lost by 20 at home to a team that they are supposed to be contending with for an Eastern Championship.

 Phoenix Suns (34-23) vs Oklahoma City Thunder (33-21)
In the midst of a nine game winning streak, the Thunder will host a Phoenix team that has won eight of its last 10 games. Readers of BSN Sports know the Suns have struggled on the road with a 14-16 record but have won five of their last six away from Arizona. In the only meeting between the teams, Oklahoma City came away with a close 117-113 win in Phoenix on the back of Kevin Durant’s 38 points.
Primetime Performers
Suns: Amare Stoudemire survived the trade deadline and will be looked upon to provide the brunt of the scoring after putting up 35 points in the last meeting. The team leader in points, rebounds and blocks, Stoudemire is active, athletic and will provide a matchup problem as the Thunder have no player on their roster that can guard him.
