Pep Boys Auto 500 Betting Odds Preview

pep boys auto 500Kyle Busch will be looking to push his way above the cutoff line for the Chase on September 6 when the Sprint Cup Series takes on Atlanta in the Pep Boys Auto 500.

Busch claimed the checkered flag in the Sharpie 500 at Bristol last time out, holding off Mark Martin and Marcos Ambrose for the victory. Greg Biffle and Denny Hamlin rounded out the Top 5 at the race.

Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Matt Kenseth made up the rest of the day's Top 10. Brian Vickers was 12th, Carl Edwards was 16th, Clint Bowyer was 21st, Jeff Gordon was 23rd, Juan Montoya was 25th, Kasey Kahne was 28th, and Tony Stewart had to settle for a 33rd-place result.

Stewart, though, still holds a 220-point lead over Johnson in the driver standings after 24 races. Gordon, Hamlin, Edwards, Kurt Busch, Newman, Biffle, Montoya, Martin, Kahne and Kenseth also sit in the current Top 12 of the points race.

Sharpie 500 Betting Odds Preview

Sharpie 500 Betting Preview at BSN SportsBrian Vickers will try to continue his late push for a berth in the Chase for the Cup on Saturday night when he takes the track at Bristol Motor Speedway for the Sharpie 500.

Vickers took the checkered flag last time out in the Carfax 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Jeff Gordon was second at that event, with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, and Sam Hornish Jr. rounding out the day's Top 5 drivers.

Casey Mears, Joey Logano, Clint Bowyer, David Reutimann, and Denny Hamlin also picked up Top-10 results at Michigan. Kasey Kahne was 11th, Matt Kenseth was 14th, Ryan Newman was 15th, Tony Stewart was 17th, Juan Montoya was 19th, Greg Biffle was 20th, Kyle Busch was 23rd, Mark Martin was 31st, Jimmie Johnson was 33rd, and Kurt Busch was 36th.

2009 Carfax 400 Odds to Win

Carfax 400 Odds to Win at BSN SportsTony Stewart will be looking to get another win under his belt on Sunday afternoon when the Sprint Cup Series hits Michigan International Speedway for the Carfax 400.

Stewart rolled to his third victory of the season last time out, taking the checkered flag in the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen at the road course at Watkins Glen International. Only Mark Martin (four) has more Cup wins so far this season.

Marcos Ambrose, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle, Juan Montoya, Kurt Busch, Max Papis, Clint Bowyer, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the Top 10 at Watkins Glen. Brian Vickers was 11th, Jimmie Johnson was 12th, Matt Kenseth was 14th, Kasey Kahne was 17th, Ryan Newman was 21st, Martin was 23rd, and Jeff Gordon was 37th.

Stewart sits 260 points up on Johnson in the driver standings after 22 races, with Gordon now 342 points back of the leader. Kurt Busch, Hamlin, Edwards, Montoya, Kahne, Newman, Biffle, Martin, and Kenseth make up the rest of the current Top 12.

Odds to win the Heluva Good at BSN SportsThe Sprint Cup Series returns to a road course on Sunday afternoon with the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen at Watkins Glen International.

Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag in the Series' last race, the rain-delayed Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway on Monday afternoon. Juan Montoya, Clint Bowyer, Sam Hornish Jr., and Kasey Kahne rounded out the Top 5 at Pocono.

Brian Vickers, Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch, and Tony Stewart made up the rest of the Top 10 in the Pennsylvania 500. Matt Kenseth was 11th, Jimmie Johnson was 13th, Ryan Newman was 14th, Greg Biffle was 15th, and Carl Edwards was 18th.

Stewart's lead on Johnson atop the driver standings is now 197 points after 21 races, with Gordon 199 points behind the leader in third place. Busch, Hamlin, Edwards, Kahne, Montoya, Newman, Martin, Kenseth, and Biffle round out the Top 12.
