Mark Martin will be looking to continue his climb up the driver standings on Sunday when he takes to the road course at Infineon Raceway for the Toyota/SaveMart 350.

Martin took advantage of Jimmie Johnson's empty gas tank and grabbed the checkered flag in the LifeLock 400 at Michigan International Speedway last time out. Martin now has three wins this season, and he moved up five spots in the standings with the result.

Jeff Gordon ended up in second at Michigan, while Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, and Greg Biffle followed him across the finish line. Juan Montoya, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Brian Vickers, and Clint Bowyer made up the rest of the LifeLock 400 Top 10.

Jimmie Johnson goes from a +350 favorite at the LifeLock 400 last weekend to a +2000 this weekend in the Toyota Save/Mart 350.

Kyle Busch was 13th at Michigan, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was 14th, Matt Kenseth was 20th, Kasey Kahne was 21st, and Johnson had to settle for a 22nd-place result on the day.

In the accident whose causes are investigated, also injured the driver Jorge Goeters.

Pardo, Motorcraft Racing team, was hit in the middle of your car by Goeters disputed the last lap when the circuit oval Miguel E. Abed, 2.4 kilometers long, and after the contact was removed a wall of containment of the track.

The pilot died while receiving care in a hospital to which he was taken by a helicopter from the racetrack to Amozoc, about 20 kilometers from Puebla, the state capital of the same name.

The race of the series Nascar Puebla Mexico was suspended by the incident and Brown was declared the winner by the organizers to consider at that time was leading the test ahead of Goeters, who was awarded second place.

Tony Stewart will look to further extend his lead in the Sprint Cup Series standings Sunday when he hits the track in the LifeLock 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Stewart grabbed the win last time out in the Pocono 500 at Pocono Raceway, holding off Carl Edwards and David Reutimann for the title. Jeff Gordon was fourth at Pocono, while Ryan Newman crossed the finish line in fifth place.

Marcos Ambrose, Jimmie Johnson, Juan Montoya, Jeff Burton, and Sam Hornish Jr. rounded out the day's Top 10 drivers. Greg Biffle was 11th, Matt Kenseth was 16th, Kyle Busch was 22nd, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was 27th, and Kurt Busch was 37th.

2009 Pocono 500 Betting Odds

Tony Stewart holds down first place in the driver standings as the Sprint Cup Series heads to Pocono Raceway for Sunday afternoon's Pocono 500.

Stewart finished second to Jimmie Johnson over the weekend in the Autism Speaks 400 at Dover, a result which was good enough to vault him over Jeff Gordon into top spot in the standings. Gordon finished well back in 26th place at the Dover event.

Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch, Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards, Ryan Newman, Casey Mears, and Mark Martin rounded out the Top 10 at the Autism Speaks 400. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was 12th, Kyle Busch was 23rd, and Denny Hamlin finished 36th.

Stewart now holds a 46-point lead on Gordon in the driver standings, with Johnson 64 points back in third place. Kurt Busch, Newman, Kyle Busch, Hamlin, Kenseth, Biffle, Jeff Burton, Edwards, and Martin round out the current Top 12.

Kahne won the Pocono 500 last year, while Edwards visited victory lane in the Pennsylvania 500 at that track last August. Edwards also won the Pocono 500 back during the 2005 season.

Gordon has four career Cup wins at Pocono, most recently at the Pocono 500 in 2007. Johnson, Hamlin, and Kurt Busch have a pair of Cup wins apiece at the circuit, while Newman and Stewart took the checkered flag there in 2003 races.
