The AL Central Suddenly Gets Very Interesting to Watch

Baseball Free PicksIt seems like forever since the best sports betting websites have had a legitimate race to talk about in the AL Central division. But this season, it looks like the AL Central could go all the way down to the wire and give fans an exciting finish. As this week gets started, the Cleveland Indians trail the Detroit Tigers by only two and a half games for the division lead. But the Kansas City Royals and even the Minnesota Twins are still standing to be counted. The sportsbook agents are also curious to see if the Chicago White Sox can get on track as the AL Central division heads into this weekend’s action.

Saturday – Minnesota Twins @ New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are no longer guaranteed to beat the Minnesota Twins each time these two teams get together. From C.C. Sabathia on down, the Yankees’ starting pitching rotation is struggling to win games.

Even closer Mariano Rivera has been touched up for a few losses in recent games. The Twins have hit a tough stretch as of late and have tumbled down in the AL Central standings. But there is just something about this matchup between the Yankees and the Twins that has the sports book experts intrigued. It would not be a huge surprise to see the Twins down the Yankees, even though this game is being played in Yankee Stadium.

My Pick: Minnesota Twins

Saturday – Kansas City Royals @ Cleveland Indians

This weekend series that the Royals have with the Cleveland Indians is the ideal opportunity for Kansas City to pull just a little closer to the top of the AL Central division standings. The sports online betting experts are impressed with how well the young Kansas City pitching staff has handled the pressure so far this season. Cleveland is right on track with new manager Terry Francona and he had the Indians scoring runs at a pace that the team has not seen in a long time. This will be a good game, but the Indians have way too much for the Royals to be able to handle at this point in the season.

My Pick: Cleveland Indians

Saturday – Texas Rangers @ Detroit Tigers

The Texas Rangers are in a dog fight with the Oakland Athletics for the NL West pennant and every win counts. The Rangers do not want to see another late-season collapse like the one that handed the Athletics the pennant last year. Texas started this week strong and will try to maintain its strong play through the weekend. The Detroit Tigers are still trying to figure out how to get starting pitchers like Justin Verlander and Doug Fister on track. Max Scherzer is a rock with a 13-0 record, but the rest of the Detroit pitching staff needs to catch up if the Tigers are going to get back to the World Series in 2013.

My Pick: Detroit Tigers
