Texas Rangers vs Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Rangers Winners in eight of their last ten games, the Texas Rangers continue to prove they belong at the top of the standings in the American League West. A trifecta of sweeps in the interleague play over the Florida Marlins, Houston Astros, and Pittsburgh Pirates have the Rangers feeling good about their chances this year, and as long as they are able to maintain their .500 road record, their solid play at home could take them in to the postseason. Josh Hamilton’s 22-game hit streak has sparked the Rangers during this recent run, where he is hitting .462 with nine home runs and 29 RBI. His mark of .470 in June is off the charts, and has raised his average to .343 overall, something that must at least remain somewhat consistent for Texas to continue its run to the postseason. Angels Los Angeles has won three straight online sports betting series’ since dropping two of three against the Milwaukee Brewers, and will look to continue that run in their return from interleague play after taking the opener against Texas 6-5 on Tuesday night. A minimum of four games above .500 at both home and on the road, the Angels are beginning to look like the team that was considered a favorite to take the division before the 2010 season got underway, and can further advance that theory by taking the next two against Texas to continue to close the gap. Mike Napoli’s hot bat against the National League has been a big part of the Angels’ recent success, a trend hometown fans are hoping will continue heading in to the baseball betting month of July. The Game Even during the World Cup betting tournament, baseball’s divisional races are fun to watch. The gap between the Rangers and Angels remains slim, and the tide could very well turn with this series, making it that much more important. It will be interesting to see how this Texas team responds to pressure, something it hasn’t had to face so far. Pick: Angels
