Andy Pettitte NewsThe New York Yankees reached an agreement yesterday to sign their top priority this offseason. And no, this is the hottest superstar of the moment in the majors.

The Bronx Bombers have reached an agreement, according to press reports, for $ 12 million with Andy Pettitte for the 2013 season.

This is a great starter in his best years, years ago, gave so much to the Yankees. However, in the campaign which ended in October with a humiliating sweep of the Detroit Tigers threw only 14 games (two play-off).

With the pact with Pettitte, the Yankees seem to have tied his stellar rotation 2013.

They had already extended for one year to Hiroki Kuroda, for $ 15 million. The right opener performed well in 2012 with an ERA of 3.32 and improved to 16 wins and 11 losses.

Two other spaces are reserved for the ace CC Sabathia and Phil Hughes right. Ivan Nova, David Phelps will fight for a place.

The Yankees are also working on an agreement with closer Mariano Rivera, who does not know when he could return to pitch.

The team has not yet reached agreements with the position players that they ran out of contract: Russell Martin, Ichiro Suzuki, Nick Swisher and Raul Ibanez.

Neither has spoken to players from other teams that create interest in the Yankees.
