Ryan Howard Leads the Phillies to win the SeriesRyan Howard hit a two-run double with two outs in the ninth inning and scored on a single by Jayson Werth to lead the Philadelphia Phillies overcome a 5-4 disadvantage and defeat the Colorado Rockies and thus won their series of first round play-off, 3-1.

Brad Lidge won his second consecutive save, again removing the cleanup hitter for the Rockies, Troy Tulowitzki, with two on to end the game pads. In the third game, Tulowitzki squared and struck out in the fourth.

The Phillies held at the Coors Field box of ice cream before retiring to his cabin to take another cold bath, but champagne.

The Phillies, champions of the World Series, will begin the series by the National League Championship on Thursday at 8:07 p. m. When they visit the Los Angeles Dodgers.
