Online Betting Overview
Much to the surprise of MLB baseball betting enthusiasts, the NL Central is turning out to be one of the most competitive divisions in baseball. The MLB baseball news headlines talk about surprising wins by teams such as the Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers. The result is that four teams out of six in the NL Central are either in first place, or within two games of the lead. No other division is even close, and the MLB scores that keep rolling in from the St. Louis Cardinals are keeping the red birds tied with the Brewers for first place. St. Louis has had to overcome injuries to some key players this season, including a recent wrist injury to Albert Pujols, to stay in the battle for the NL Central pennant. But the Cardinals are staying in the hunt, and they are trying to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the division.
The Cincinnati Reds were a surprise playoff team last year, which means that many people had high expectations for Cincinnati this season.

No matter how poor the roster turnover is from year to year it seems as though the Tampa Bay Rays consistently find a way to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot in the crowded American League East. In order to stay near the top of the most competitive division in baseball the Rays will need to take down one of best from the National League in a St. Louis Cardinals’ team that finds itself in a similar position.
St. Louis Cardinals @ Tampa Bay Rays Saturday July 2, 2011 – 7:10 PM ET Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida Online Sports Betting Odds: Tampa Bay Rays – 120
The Cardinals are looking up at the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central, but are still within striking distance of the division lead.

Even online horse betting players will have to get in on this “thoroughbred” action on Tuesday in Philadelphia, when you could get a World Series preview featuring a pair of pitchers who have made their name in the postseason. Josh Beckett and Boston will be in the City of Brotherly Love to take on Cliff Lee and the Phillies, so pay close attention: you could see this matchup again in October.
Red Sox vs. Phillies Betting – Tuesday, 7:05 PM ET
Beckett (6-2, 1.86) has missed at least one start due to an illness, but he was lights out in his last outing, tossing a one-hit complete-game shutout in a 3-0 win in Tampa Bay, striking out six with no walks. He still wasn’t fine to start on Saturday against Pittsburgh, but MLB baseball betting players have seen this before: sit out against a lowly team in order to be at your best for a big game, and that could be the case here for Beckett, who is 8-4 in 19 games (17 starts) against the Phillies with a 3.98 ERA, and he is 2-2 in four starts at Citizens Bank Park with a 6.26 ERA.

Online Sports Betting Overview
They are not quite family yet, but the MLB baseball betting fans in Pittsburgh are trying to remember what it is like to be in a pennant race late into June. It has been so long since the Pirates have been this competitive that the crowds are still hesitant to come out to the ballpark and support the team. But, slowly, the fans are starting to get into this pennant race and for the first time in a long time, the MLB baseball news in Pittsburgh is not all bad. The Pirates enter this game with the Orioles only four games out of first place in the NL Central and only one game away from a .500 record. The ballpark in Pittsburgh will be jumping now.
The Baltimore Orioles were surprising every MLB fan early in the season by being the runaway leader for the AL East pennant. With the Red Sox having the worst start in franchise history, the Yankees just not as good as they were last year and Tampa Bay struggling without Carl Crawford; it was the Orioles that grabbed an early lead in the AL East.
