The Cubs will pin their hopes on the pitching of righthander Ryan Dempster in this game. Dempster has a 6-7 record and a 4.28 ERA this season.

Another story "from glory to hell" is the one involving Plaxico Burress, a former wide receiver for the Super Bowl champion, who pleaded guilty to illegal possession of weapons and accepted a sentence of two years imprisonment.
