Although it looks like the most uneven game Wild Card Round, the weather (rain is forecast for Saturday in Seattle) and the noisy Qwest Field will be two rivals for the champions Saints, plus the long trip to Washington State. At Qwest Field (since 2002), the Seahawks are 4-1 in playoff mark.

The coach Pete Carroll will go with Matt Hasselbeck as their starting quarterback.

Super Bowl betting is about to begin as the playoffs kick off, but bowl season is wrapping up in the NCAA, and on Sunday Boston College and Nevada will clash in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. In the matchup of offense versus defense, the latter usually wins out, but you can score one for the offense after this one.

Nevada (12-1) won their last six games of the season to win a third of the WAC title, and their statement win was an upset of Boise State that ended the Broncos’ BCS dreams. The Wolf Pack has the No.3 rushing attack in the country, powered by quarterback Colin Kaepernick and back Vai Taua. They’re a bit more balanced now, though, and that is the key to their NCAA football betting odds. The defense has improved this year, and even though they’re 108th in the country against the pass, that’s because teams didn’t bother to run on them because the Wolf Pack would build up big leads and force teams to play catch-up.
